Who is chosen for a grant?

Grant applications are evaluated based on the proposed use of grant funds, the collaborations and partnerships created by the organization, the dollar amount requested, the type and size of outreach proposed; and the time frame in which the proposed activities will take place.

How can I use grant funds?

Grants can be used for any outreach and other innovative programs that will educate students and adults about career options in advanced manufacturing.

An example of a similar program would be Metro North Regional Employment Board in Cambridge, which is introducing GED students to advanced manufacturing, using information sessions for youth, career centers, and youth program staff; a workshop on math and measurements; company tours; and hands-on exposure to machining at training sites. The project also included marketing materials for schools, parents, and career centers.
